Monitors

SSL & domain expiry

Get warned before certificates and domain registrations lapse.

Both are per-monitor add-ons on paid plans, toggled in the monitor's Settings under Add-ons. They run daily (plus once right after enabling), separate from the uptime check cadence.

SSL certificate
Reads the certificate served by the monitor's host and records the expiry date. You choose the warning window, 1 to 90 days (default 14).
Domain registration
Looks up the registrable domain via RDAP, with a WHOIS fallback for country TLDs RDAP misses. Warns 30 days before expiry.
  • Expiry warnings send once per approach, then re-arm automatically after you renew.
  • Some registries (for example .ro and .de) never publish expiry dates; the card explains when that is the case.
  • Expiring certificates and domains also surface in the dashboard's needs-attention panel.
