Find the answer, then get back to work.
Organized around the questions operators actually ask: setup, alerts, accounts, and billing. If the answer isn't here, support is one step away.
Getting set up
No. The free tier includes monitors, checks, and email alerts without payment details. You only add a card when you upgrade.
From the dashboard, open Monitors and choose Add monitor. Paste the URL, pick a check interval, and save; the first check runs within seconds.
Yes. Each monitor supports up to 10 custom request headers, so you can send API keys or tokens with every check. Add them in the monitor's settings as "Name: value" lines.
You choose the interval per monitor, from every 15 seconds depending on your plan. Slower intervals are fine for low-traffic sites; critical APIs usually want the fastest cadence.
Monitoring & alerts
Degraded means the endpoint responded, but slower than the response-time threshold you set. It's the early-warning zone; the site is up, but something is off. You can tune or disable the threshold per monitor.
By default, every workspace member. In workspace settings → Alerts you can switch to a custom recipient list, useful for on-call inboxes or people outside the workspace.
Yes: down, degraded, and recovery notifications are each individually toggleable. Recovery emails are on by default so the thread has closure.
Raw check results are kept for 90 days. Uptime summaries and incident history on the monitor page are computed from that window.
Account & security
Sign-in codes are on for every account by default; a password alone isn't enough for a tool that guards your infrastructure. Enable an authenticator app in account settings to replace the email codes, or trust a device for 30 days to skip the prompt on it.
Use one of the backup codes you saved when enabling two-factor; each works exactly once. If you've lost those too, contact support from the email address on the account.
Workspace settings → Members → Invite. They receive an email link and join with their own account after verifying it. Roles and permissions are managed on the same page.
Yes: create as many workspaces as you need from the workspace switcher in the sidebar. Monitors, members, alerts, and billing are fully separate per workspace.
Billing & plans
Workspace settings → Billing. Plan changes apply immediately, and invoices for the workspace live on the same page.
Nothing is deleted. If you're over the new plan's monitor limit, the extra monitors are paused until you're back within it; you choose which ones stay active.
If something went wrong with billing, contact us; we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
